Dr. Neelam Kler- "Our gut is also an organ, and our body has those healthy microbiomes which help us in having a healthy life. There are certain things you can do. People who are obese, who are overweight, they have unhealthy microbiome, so they are more prone to develop diabetes. They are more prone to develop hypertension. Since I deal with pregnant women and their babies, so young girls should exercise, should eat healthy. They should not become obese or overweight because that will make them unhealthy and not only make them unhealthy, but also their babies also unhealthy because those women are more prone to have problems, complications related to pregnancy. And they can have problem with the childbirth, they can have premature babies, and those babies are at risk risk of disease. Babies who are born premature, they live in the NICUs for a longer time. They are more prone to have organ defects. They are more prone to have abnormal neurological development. They are more prone to have lifestyle diseases when they grow up. They are more prone to become obese. They are more prone to develop more weight gain. They can develop diabetes, hypertension.
